Monthly inventory trend backing report/search

On my dashboard I have trend graph that shows the total inventory by month. I see that this is a standard KPI, I see this is backed by the inventory valuation report. Does anyone know how I can replicate this report inside a dataset inside SuiteAnalytics? Inside of "New report", the inventory valuation is based on the quantity on hand metric, I don't see this same metric as a dataset. Does anyone have any ideas?
