Is it possible to have a Draft stage of an invoice to preview/edit before Saving?

We would like to have a Draft stage to make any edits and preview the pdf before it is finalized. Currently, hitting Save on an invoice immediately changes the status to Pending Approval and notifies the next approver. Thanks!
