Prevent approval of Sales Order for prototype assembly item not ready for sale
Trying to find best way to prevent approval of a Sales Order for any assembly item that's a prototype which isn't ready for production; however, we want the item to be available to place on a Quote or a Sales Order; however, we want to lock the SO if the Item Production Status is any other than Approved.
We have created a custom list field on the item record for Item Production Status.
We have also exposed the field on the transaction line on the Quote and SO templates. However, the field is not available when attempting to create a workflow to lock the Sales Order if status is not Approved.
