Is it possible to tally the total time a transaction is in edit mode?

Good day!

I'm curious if it is possible to create a saved search that would return the total amount of time (in minutes or seconds) that a transaction like a quote, sales order or purchase order is in edit mode while it has a status of "pending fulfillment".

We have complicated products and customers and the sales order may be edited and updated multiple times while its pending fullfillment, I was curious if I could put a number on it.
