Is there a way to maintain the display order of a custom child sublist that is ordered?

I have a custom sublist set to be a child of an item. The custom sublist is set to ordered. In edit mode, I can move the child records and that order is maintained when editing the list on the item. However, I don't see a way to display those child records in that same order on a saved search that I created.
