Reminder: Upcoming Lot Allocation Enhancement in Basic Bin Management
This notice is intended for customers who use the Basic Bin Management feature and do not have the Advanced Bin/Numbered Inventory Management feature enabled on your account. An upcoming change for Basic Bin Management that enhances lot allocation on transactions may affect your customizations.
When Do These Changes Take Effect?
The lot allocation enhancement for Basic Bin Management is targeted to be released in NetSuite 2021.1.
What is Changing?
Currently, Basic Bin Management permits you to set partial quantities only for multiple lot numbers in a line item of a transaction. The line item will display the quantity beside the lot number, in the following format: Lot Number(Quantity). It automatically assigns the full quantity if you enter only a single lot number in the line item.
