Search Behavior for Name and Display Name Fields Changes in Account Record in NetSuite 2021.1

This notification is to inform you that the behavior of the Account record's Name and Display Name saved search fields will change NetSuite 2021.1, targeted for the first quarter of 2021. This change also affects the Localized Name and Localized Display Name fields. This change may affect scripts and bundles which require the Name field to include both the Account Number and the Account Name.

This change will improve the consistency of search results when an account name and account number are displayed together.

Currently, the Account record has both a Name field and Display Name field. NetSuite displays the following information in these fields if you set or clear the Use Account Numbers preference:
