NetSuite requests limit

Hi. I'm creating web application, that use integration with NetSuite by SuiteQL requests. When we were went online, i noticed, that NetSuite sometimes send responses like (429) Too many request or (504) Gateway Timeout.

I want to know - is there any requests limit in SuiteQL and if so - how do we better use integration with NetSuite?
