Help with a 10 digit phone number formula
Hello,
We've get phone numbers like this in the standard customer phone number field....
- 1-234-555-6666 x889
- 1-234-555-6666
- 1-234-555-666611
- 222-3333
- 02389472038497238497234
I need them copied into a custom formula field and forced into a consistent format. In that field, I need them all 10 digits long and with no leading 1 and no extension on the end and no dashes. Only numeric data and 10 digits long. This is for PaceJet that sends the number on to UPS.
So:
- drop any leading 1 if it has a 1
- Remove all dashes
- add zeros to the end of any numbers shorter than 10 digits to make them 10 digits long
