Can you help clarify the difference between the 'Analytics Browser' and 'REST API Browser'?

Hi,

Can you help clarify the difference between the 'Analytics Browser' and 'REST API Browser' and why REST API Browser does NOT seem to have transaction and transactionline - whereas the 'Analytics Browser' does ?
