Backdate Bill date and post in current period

Usually we can backdated a Bill Date(for example 10/01/2020), and post in an open period(for example Sep 2021). But we noticed that after the new release 2021.2, Posting Period in Bill is greyed out, it has to match Date in Bill.

Is it possible to back date a Bill date and post in a different period now?
