Return User Error workflow with Dynamic Text

Can anyone tell me if a Return User Workflow action Error Text can be dynamic? I'm trying to set-up a WF that requires vendors to have a certain status (custom field) to be on a PO. I want to be able to note the line number/part number that is triggering the WF error. I can get it to all work except the dynamic verbiage. Thoughts?
