NSC | Linking a custom field on a Job to Customer, and Project record
Customer wants to show a Custom Field (with a formula) on the Invoice Record, showing a value from the Subcustomer record and from the Project record. The invoice was created from the Project.
This can be done by creating a Saved Search, a custom body field, and a workflow.
1. Edit the Contact Field first since this will be used for the Saved Search and it can only be used if the Store Value is checked
1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Entity Field
2. Click Contact field
3. Set the following:
○ Label : Contact
○ Type : Free-Form Text
○ Store Value : is checked
○ Applies to : Job
