Report Builder > Display Created By Field

I created a search in Transactions:Purchase Orders and saw that there was a "Created By" and a "Created By (Custom Body)" field. Based on that search I determined that I wanted the plain "Created By" field. However, when I then went in to fix a Report, that field was not an available choice. Why is the field available in search, but not in reports? How can I get it in a report?
