Developing CCT as an Extension

I've been looking to create a CCT for a Collapsible / Dropdown as seen on many company sites for QA's or shrinking page size. I followed both tutorials publicly available on NetSuite documentation. It will appear in SMT but will not actually ever display when drag-dropped into the site. Has anyone got a CCT extension working on a recent build / has tips? Thanks!
