SCS/SCA When to Invalidate Cache

Would anyone have a comprehensive list of when to run Invalidate Cache?

The link below says

  1. Update Theme
  2. Update Extensions
  3. Update Configuration
  4. Update Item Records

I'm looking for anything else.

We sometimes get a message "An internal error has occurred" on the website. We have to invalidate the cache to fix it. We don't know what we are doing to cause this.
