Total Open Sales Orders By Month

My sales team uses the total value of open and unfulfilled sales orders as a central KPI, as well as sales invoiced. This backlog of unfulfilled orders is extremely important to how we measure the performance of both sales and manufacturing. However, we're manually tracking this KPI in a spreadsheet and not in NetSuite. Currently, we can't see trends over time in NetSuite. I'd like to find a way - whether through searches, reports, or SuiteAnalytics, to show this KPI over time.

We're aware of the Open Sales Order report, but this does not support reporting by period.
