NSC | Activity Saved Search > Get Duplicates When Grouping the Assigned to Field
Scenario:
When grouping the Assigned To field, the search will include the attendees in the event. This is the standard behavior of the field and it is hard coded when it is grouped by design.
Solution:
As a workaround, create an Event Saved Search and filter it using the Attendee. It will count the correct event records. Please see the sample criteria used below.
1. Navigate to Lists > Search > Saved Searches > New
2. Select Event
3. Navigate to Criteria subtab > Standard Filter sublist
4. Select Attendee = 'employee name'
5. Navigate to Results subtab and set below formula
6. Click Save & Run
Although this will only apply to your event search, I would suggest creating a separate search for other activity records.
