NSC | Empty Invocation Target!

edited Jun 25, 2025 6:05AM in SuiteCloud / Customization

A NetSuite user may encounter an error: Empty invocation target!

A possible cause of this error is referencing a field that is not shown on the form.

Sample Scenario:

A user is using the Field.updateDisplayType(options) to change the display type of a field via script. The user may encounter the error if the field's show checkbox on the form is not checked. In order to fix the error, the field's show check box on the form must be checked.

Do you have any other potential reason of this encountered error? Please feel free to reply with your suggestions, and we will be reviewing them!
