REST API: Invoice Object Does Not Show Related Transactions

We are reading invoice objects via the REST API, and everything is there - all the basic fields, custom fields, line items, everything.

But we need to get the Date Paid, which in NetSuite is present on the payment object (appears on the "Related" tab of the invoice) - and it is not there on the invoice object!

Is there some way to see the payment on the invoice from the REST API?

Or is there some permission we need to grant? (we do have Edit permission on the Customer Payment object)
