Suitescript complete a task and schedule a follow up in 3 months

I have added a button onto the Task form. with it i've been able to mark the task as completed. But what I really would like to do is a add to the message, then schedule a follow-up task for 3 months. I can create a new task, but I cannot get the company and contact from the current task so that I can add it t the new task. It seems like it should be an easy task but I'm not having any luck.

I'm trying to use currentRecord to get the contact and company value, both don't seem to find anything
