How to compute for age?

I'm thinking of inserting a field to compute for age.

For example, I've already captured the date of birth of an entity via custom field type:date. Do I simply create a new custom field type:decimal and reference the difference between today's date and the dob?

If it's a formula, what kind of formula do I use? Thanks!

A formula can be used in another Custom Field to determine the Age. Kindly follow the steps below:

* Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Entity Fields > New
* Label: Enter Age 
* Type: Select Free-Form Text
* Store Value: Remove Checkmark
* Click Applies To
* Select the preferred records
* Click Validation & Defaulting
* Formula: Enter Checkmark
* Enter the Formula below:

FLOOR(ROUND((({today} - {birthdate})/365.2425),2))||(' ')||('Years ')||FLOOR(ROUND((((ROUND((({today} - {birthdate})/365.2425),3))-FLOOR(ROUND((({today} - {birthdate})/365.2425),3)))*12),3))||(' ')||('Months ')||FLOOR(ROUND(((ROUND((((ROUND((({today} - {birthdate})/365.2425),4))-FLOOR(ROUND((({today} - {birthdate})/365.2425),4)))*12),4)-FLOOR(ROUND((((ROUND((({today} - {birthdate})/365.2425),4))-FLOOR(ROUND((({today} - {birthdate})/365.2425),4)))*12),4)))*31),4))||(' ')||('Days')

Note: For the formula above, just replace {birthdate} with the Field ID of the Custom Field that contains the date of birth of the entity.
