Reminder: Action Required to Meet Updated EEA and UK 3DS Regulations

This reminder notification is intended for customers who currently operate a NetSuite commerce web store in the European Economic Area (EEA) or in the United Kingdom (UK). Online payment card processing requirements have changed in the EEA and the UK. As a merchant, you are required to comply with these changed requirements. If you are not in compliance by October 15, 2022, you risk not being able to accept card payments.

What Is Changing

First-generation 3D Secure technologies (3D Secure 1 or 3DS 1.x) are being replaced with newer technologies, referred to as 3D Secure 2 (also known as 3DS 2.x, EMV 3-D Secure, and EMV 3DS). To minimize payment card transaction failures for your Site Builder or SuiteCommerce Advanced web store, you must ensure your web store is using 3D Secure 2 technologies.
