Pop Message/Error Message when Specific Value Has been Chosen in PO

Question

Hi All,

I'm looking for a solution to avoid user's mistakes, that they are choosing wrong combinations between region and department in PO lines.

I want to know if it's possible to create with workflow error/notification to the user from the wrong choice.

For example, if he chose department Finance or region EMEA the workflow will show an error.

This is possible by using the Sublist Action Group and Return User Error of a Workflow. Kindly follow the steps below:

* Create a Workflow by navigating to Customization > Workflow > Workflows > New
* Name: Enter the Name of the Workflow
* Record Type: Select Transaction
* Sub Types: Select Purchase Order
* Execute as Admin: Enter checkmark
* Release Status: Select Testing (If the Workflow is feasible on your end, change the Release status to Released)
* Initiation:* Select Events Based

* Event Definition:* Select On Create
* Select On View or Update

* Click Save
* Double-click State 1
* Click New Sublist Group
* Parameters:* Sublist: Select Item

* Click Save
*  Click Add beside Sublist Action Group
* Click Return User Error
* Click the Cross link beside the Condition box
* Condition:* Field: Select Department
* Compare Type: Select none of
* Selection: Select the correct Department
* Click Save

* Parameters:* Text: Enter the error message

* Click Save

Create another Return User Error Action for the Sublist Action Group to display an error message for the incorrect Region. If we wish to include the Region in the Condition, we can simple add another line in the Condition builder of the first Return User Error Action. The condition will be like this:
