Saved Search - Chart of Accounts - Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable - Balance field

Question

Hi again. I'm back with another question regarding Chart of accounts value.

I have created a Saved Search of both Accounts Payable (1600) & Accounts Receivable (1300).

In both accounts there is the field 'Balance' which changes accordingly on every line. How can I recreate this field in a Saved Transactional Search? I think I have to use a formula, but i can't figure out what exactly.

As per my testing, it seems, that it is currently not available to get the same information from the Balance field in a Saved Search.

We do have created the following Enhancement request:

205275 - Lists > Search > Saved Searches > New > Transactions > Please have the ability to add a running balance for the Amount (Credit) and Amount (Debit) columns similar to reports

You may vote for this enhancement through SuiteIdeas to increase its points and have it possibly included on NetSuite's future releases.

I believe, that to get the correct information as are seen on the Account Register you would need to create complex formula, which is not in our scope.

You might try to contact your Account Administrator to get more information about the possibility of creation Complex formulas for your concern.

Another way how to get the running balance is to export the data in to the excel and create the sum of the rows there, see example:
