Why am I receiving an email of Change to Role Permission Conflict Resolution for Some SDF Custom Ob?

I got the following email from Netsuite and wanted to confirm my understanding of it:
From what I understood of it , this only affects you if you are deploying custom objects or if you have suiteapp that is being deployed
Example:
a custom role (an xml object) is downloaded from a sandbox account for a Netsuite account.
For a particular custom record(custom record A), the permission level is "full" on the xml object.
The production account the role object is being deployed to has already got the same role object in there. Deploying the sandbox version will only update the production account version of the custom role.
