How to show items with a price of $0 on SCA

Hello! We are on SCA Kilimanjaro and I have a question regarding how items are fetched for display in the product display page. Something that we've always wanted to do but have never been able to figure out is how to display a $0 item for specific price levels. $0 items are always filtered out of the items search and not available for display on our site. It looks like in the code the items are populated in the Facet.Model's fetch method, but tracing that shows that the $0 item has already been filtered out of
