How to enable the Invoices List View on Customer Center with the Print column?

I hope someone here can help me.

When a customer clicks on an Invoice to view it I would like them to be sent directly to the PDF printout. I have failed using the following approaches -

  1. Create a workflow using the Go To Record action - can't figure out how this would work. I tried creating a workflow field to populate with the URL but I'm failing at populating with a dynamic URL (including the internal ID)
  2. Creating a field on the invoice record that holds the URL then redirecting to that - this is not working because the internal ID is generated
