NSC | Display a Custom Record as a Child Record
There are scenarios where users need to display a Custom Record in a sublist of a record. In this sample scenario, a Custom Record will be displayed in the sublist of an Item record.
- Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types > New
- Enter the Name of the Custom Record
- Include Name Field: Remove Checkmark
- Allow Child Record Editing: Enter checkmark
- Click Save
- Edit the Record
- Click New Field
- Enter the Name of the Field
- Type: Select List/Record
- List/Record: Select Item
- Record is Parent: Enter Checkmark
- Show in List: Enter Checkmark
- Parent Subtab: Select Purchasing/Inventory
- Click Save
