Test Window for HMAC-SHA1 in TBA Integrations

edited Dec 8, 2022 6:51PM in Announcements

This notice applies to customers who use the Token-based Authentication (TBA) feature in your account for integrations. NetSuite identified and informed affected accounts that some of your integrations are still using HMAC-SHA1 as a signature method. As of NetSuite 2023.1, HMAC-SHA1 will no longer be accepted as a signature method for TBA integrations. Before your account is upgraded to 2023.1, you must update your TBA integrations to use the HMAC-SHA256 signature method.

What is Changing?

When your account is upgraded to NetSuite 2023.1, any TBA integrations that are still using the HMAC-SHA1 as a signature method will stop working. This prohibition will apply to all integrations in your account, including integrations from third-party solution providers. Upgrades to NetSuite 2023.1 are targeted to occur between February and April of 2023.
