NetSuite Admin Tips | Exclude Gift Cert on Eligible Items by not Using Advance Promotion
There are some businesses who prefer to use the NetSuite's Standard Promotion feature instead of the Advanced Promotion in excluding an Item from their promotions.
If users do not need the other functionalities of the Advanced Promotion feature, then they may simply utilize the standard promotion.
Solution: Set Eligibility on Items.
- Navigate to your promotions by going to Lists > Marketing > Promotions
- Expand Other Promotions Type - Not compatible with SuitePromotions
- Select New
- Select Standard Promotion
- Fill in all the required values
- Select Items subtab
- Enable Exclude Items checkbox
- Under Item > Add Gift Cert
- Click Save
With this setup, the discount will reflect on all items except for the Gift Cert which the users excluded from the promotion.
