How to Assign Assign Specific Hours per Day on Each Day of the Week Using Work Calendar

edited Feb 2, 2023 8:49AM in SuitePeople HR 4 comments

It appears you cannot set up a Work Calendar where the working hours spans two days (overnight) - i.e. our night shift from 22:00 - 07:00 (Sunday to Thursday).

If you set a Start At time of 22:00 and the Hours per Day of 8:00 you get this error:

How do NetSuite envisage managing shift workers? I can't imagine we're the only NetSuite SuitePeople Customer with staff working night shifts?

It's not clear where the 'Start At' time field is used - my consultant has said this is not used anywhere and can be ignored. Is this correct? If I set my night shift up with the 'wrong' start time, will this impact their leave entitlements / booking etc?
