Is it possible to use saved searches in NetSuite integrations?

Hi

I have a few questions about retrieving data from a Netsuite integration (I have tried searching the help documentation though couldn't find the answers)

  1. I can see that it is possible to retrieve a saved search's results with, for example, SOAP. However, I have found a number of Google results saying it is not possible to retrieve results which are grouped (sum, count, max,etc) or in formula columns. Is that correct?
  2. An alternative to 1. suggested is to save the results of a saved search to a csv file in the filing cabinet and for the SOAP webservices to retrieve that
