This notice applies to customers who use SCM Pack Station, which will be renamed in an upcoming update.
When Do These Changes Take Effect?
The upcoming renaming of SCM Pack Station will be scheduled as part of your NetSuite 2023.1 account upgrade.
What is Changing?
In NetSuite 2023.1, the SCM Pack Station SuiteApp will be renamed to NetSuite Ship Central.
You will be able use the new name to search for the SuiteApp and view its status. There will be no impact on the packing processes and flows.
In the NetSuite Help Center, the Pack Station section will be renamed to Ship Central. You will be able to access the Ship Central section under Order Management > Order Fulfillment and Shipping.
Recommended Action
There is no action required regarding the SuiteApp name change.
Enabling Ship Central Shipping
NetSuite Ship Central includes shipping capabilities for use on tablets or kiosk devices. If you enable these new capabilities, currently, you can ship only the orders that you pack using the Ship Central app. Otherwise, you can continue to ship orders through shipping capabilities that you already use.
Oracle NetSuite’s list of third-party subprocessors has been updated to include the following subprocessor:
Auctane, LLC, an owner of a family of shipping and logistics technologies that will enable Oracle NetSuite users to connect to shipping carriers to obtain shipping rates and shipping labels.
This subprocessor will process your personal information only as required to deliver the Oracle NetSuite Ship Central shipping service features. As a subprocessor, Auctane, LLC is subject to the same data protection and security obligations as Oracle NetSuite under the terms of your Agreement. A complete list of subprocessors can be viewed within your NetSuite Account Center (Privacy Compliance Request > New Compliance Request > View Sub-processors List).
If you want to use the Ship Central shipping capabilities, you can configure the settings, records, roles, and other setup requirements. You can try out the new capabilities with your configurations in Release Preview.
