How to Highlight a Field on a Sales Order Record

Just wondering if we can highlight a field on a Sales Order based on the value of the field.

Example would be if a customer has a credit status equal to Overdue the credit status field on the Sales Order would be highlighted yellow so the user is aware.

We have a workflow setup to show a message but I have been asked to see if we can also highlight the field itself.
