UI: Are the changes in the Script File Editor expected?

edited May 1, 2023 4:51PM in Ask A Guru 6 comments

Hi,

I'm using the built in text file editor to make some changes to script files. It used to be that I could select a bunch of lines, and with shift-tab it automatically indented everything nicely.

Lately, I believe it happened after being upgraded to release 2023.1, the text editor has changed and it does not support the tab key at all. When I use tab, my cursor is moving out of the editor completely.

Also, before this change, if I saved a script and there was a syntax error, I could go back and all my edits were saved. This way, I could locate the syntax error and save again without losing my work.

Howdy, Stranger!
