NSC | Add Permissions in Custom List
There is a requirement to allow a Custom Role to edit a specific Custom List, without having the ability to edit other Custom Lists. Since Custom Lists do not have a Permission feature unlike Custom Records, a workaround is to convert the Custom List into a Custom Record. Once the Custom List was converted to a Custom Record, users can now assign Role Permissions. Kindly follow the steps below to convert a Custom List to a Custom Record, and allow a Permission:
- Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Lists.
- Click Edit beside the Custom List
- Convert to Custom Record: Enter Checkmark
