NSC | Source a Field from Project Record to Sales Order Record

There are scenarios where users need to source a Sales Order field to its related Project record. In order to do this, we need to create a Project Saved Search that will return the field that needs to be sourced and apply it in the Custom Field in the Project record. In this Sample scenario, Document number needs to be sourced to the Project Record. Here is the setup:

Create a Project Saved Search

  1. Add a Search Title
  2. Public: Enter checkmark
  3. Click Criteria
    1. Filter: Select Transaction Fields...
    2. Select Type
    3. Select Sales Order
  4. Click Results
  5. Filter: Select Transaction Fields...
    1. Select Document Number
