How to Customize Form to Show Field from Related Table

I am trying to add a Project Name to the Purchase Order custom page. Although I can add that field to a search of POs, it is not an option on the "Customize Form" page for Purchase Orders. Although I have customized many forms, I have not encountered a situation where a field I want isn't available to select. Is there something I need to do to make this "Related Table" field be an option for this form?
