Migrate custom fields from bundle to SuiteApp

We are trying to migrate our SuiteScript application from legacy bundle to the new SuiteApp approach. However we would like to keep the custom fields, i.e. maintaining the fields key and names so that customers who installed the legacy bundle don't lose the fields data. Is there a way to achieve this ? something like dissociate the fields from bundle but don't delete old fields data.
