SuiteScript: Inventory Detail subrecord - Is it scriptable?

Hi There

I wanted to confirm my understanding on inventory detail subrecords.


According to this community post, it is no longer possible to create custom fields on the record:


On Netsuite's help guide, it lists inventory detail record as a scriptable record type:


Is it correct that custom fields can't be added to the inventory detail record though it is possible to access the native fields via a client or user event script?
