NSC Admin Tips | How to reset 2FA when OTP is still sent to the old number

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:40PM in NetSuite Admin Corner

There may be situations where a NetSuite user changes their mobile phone or updates their mobile phone number, which can present difficulties when attempting to obtain an OTP (One-Time Password).

Here's what to do:

Option 1: Backup Code is available.

  1. On the user’s Home Dashboard (Click the Home Icon on your interface), look for Settings Portlet.
  2. Click Reset 2FA Settings
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Click Send Code
  5. Click Reset

Option 2: Use the User Access Reset Tool.

If you do not have your back up codes with you or you do not have the old phone anymore you may ask your administrator or co-administrator in helping you update your 2FA setting by following these steps.

Join our poll and share your ideas! We want to know what you think. Don't forget to comment and make your voice heard!
