How to fetch records locked by workflow?

When fetching one of our merchant data we encountered an error, we are not able to fetch a record from their Netsuite instance because it's locked by a workflow.

This record has been locked by a user defined workflow.

The only thing regarding this issue I found on the internet says that we can set a Condition on the Lock Record Action so that it does not run when Administrators (and any other Roles you wish) interact with the record. https://stackoverflow.com/a/55767774

Is it the only solution? If yes, how to do it? (I'm not familiar with SuiteFlow)
