What kind of skills are needed to be a NetSuite Developer?

Hi colleagues,

I have a simple question about how to customize NetSuite.

It is my opinion.

Saved Search develop=no need any programing language experience.

Saved report develop=no need any programing language experience.

Work Flow develop, Advanced PDF formed=I think it is necessary programming skill and knowledge. maybe Java??

If java language specialist existing, but he/she does not know NetSuite. in case, they can possible any NetSuite Customizing by self? Create new script, workflow, Advanced PDF...
