Compound asset as not depreciating
I have assets in CIP that are set to depreciation active = false. I have placed them as a components of a compound asset, and received the follwing error
MISSING_REQUIRED_FIELD: Missing compound asset fields:custrecord_assetdeprstartdate,custrecord_assetdeprenddate
Can I set the compound asset to depreciation active = false and do transfers, etc.
The suite answers says to enter start and end depreciation dates. That doesn't seem to make sense to me. If I enter dates, how does that impact the component assets?
