Improve CSV Import speed vs Map/Reduce

edited Nov 29, 2023 8:38PM in Ask A Guru 3 comments

Hi guys,

we are importing large files to create Journal Entries (e.g. 5 094 journals file with 10 000 lines).

We need the scripts to be running and we don't use the multi-threading option at the moment and we have 5 queues available.

We will test the speed of the CSV Import with the multi-threading, however I'm thinking if for e.g. creation of map/reduce script to process the files saved in file cabinet would be quicker than the CSV Import?

Also we would like to avoid using all the 5 queues within the CSV Import just for these Journal Entries imports, as other teams need to use the CSV for other job import as well. (accruals etc.)
