set shipaddresslist on sales order in Suitelet

I have a suitelet that is creating a sales order and when setting the shiptoaddresslist field it works to set the address lines but the shiptoaddresslist field itself always shows as 'Custom' even when that field was set to an internal id of a saved address from the Customer record. I'm trying to figure out how to make the shiptoaddressfield show the title of the saved address on the sales order form.
