Allocation settings-how to prevent allocation for late orders?

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:42PM in Ask A Guru 4 comments

Hi There

I have the following set up for an allocation strategy:

I have a sales order dated 21/12/2023.

The supply required by date is 21/12/2023.

There is insufficient quantity to fulfill the order in full using the stock on hand as at the 21/12/2023. (stock on hand: 50. Required stock: 60)

The stock on hand is increased on the 25/12/2023 using an inventory transfer order.

This is immediately allocated to this sales order despite missing the supply required by date

Question: Why is stock allocated once the supply required by date is missed? (ie. the order is days late)

Shouldn't this not be allocated based on these settings in the allocation strategy:

Howdy, Stranger!
