Custom GL lines disappear at Edit of a transaction by a certain role

Has anyone come across such a scenario:
- we are using Supplementary Tax Calculation bundle and Custom GL lines to add the reverse charge VAT Gl lines on the transaction (post Notional Tax).
- There is a user role which, when it edits the transaction and saves it, the Custom GL lines that were there before - they simply disappear/get deleted.
- I read all related Suite answers and I can't find the permission which the role is missing. In one SA it is mentioned Tax Items as a permission, but I do not see such a record in NetSuite hence can't add it on the role.
