Change Line Item Sequence on Estimate/Sales Order

Hey all,

We're struggling to find the right search terms for what should be an easy question - how do we change the order of the items on a estimate or sales order without copying/re-adding them?

We aren't looking for a "sort" specifically (although that would be helpful), just the option to "move up/down" a line item on a sales order.

Use case would be something like the sequence below needing to change:

Item A - Location X - 50pcs

Item B - Location Y - 50pcs

Item C - Location Y - 100pcs (change 50pcs to Location X)

[Item C - Location X - 50pcs]

Right now we get a fourth line at the bottom, and would like to move it up to row number 2 (technically sequence "1"). There is not always a strict "sort by _____" that we could use a script for to reorder the lines.

Upon checking, moving items up and down on transactions is not yet an available option in NetSuite. It is logged under Enhancement 89436 Allow the ability to 'move up' or 'move down' when adding items to a sales order. This will allow customers to decide what order the items are printed in.

You can vote for this enhancement on the SuiteIdeas page.

At this time, there is no documented workaround.

However, if this will work for you by just adding a different line instead of reordering the last line, another alternate solution is to use the Insert button to add a row above the selected line. (Please note that for some cases the alternate solution might work and for some it does not)
